BCRUPD

The RGHSF aims to be a useful reference for all actors involved in human settlements development, so that they can, together with the government, pursue an action-oriented paradigm shift that will result in safe, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable communities across the country.
BCRUPD has initiated a rapid research in partnership with TAMPEI Inc. and the cities of Ormoc and Tagum. The research involves a quick survey and focus group discussions (FGD) in five barangays each in Tagum City and Ormoc City to identify the impacts of COVID-19 in selected urban poor communities. This publication provides highlights from the said study as well as entry points for building resilience and green recovery.
Resilience from typhoons and other climate related hazards, green recovery, and pandemic preparedness – these are just some of the key issues the Philippine government is seeking to address as DHSUD and CCC jointly spearhead the finalization of the Resilient and Green Human Settlements Framework (RGHSF).
The briefers contain snapshots of the cities’ climate and disaster information, citywide adaptation strategy, details of urban project for climate resilience, socio-economic benefits of the project, and financial requirements.
