dsc_93561

Roxas, April 15 2014 — UN-Habitat in partnership with the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), and the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), conducted profiling of potential beneficiary families in affected communities in Roxas City from 07-11 April.

The community assessments are part of a UN-Habitat project, funded by the people of Japan, which will construct houses for more than 600 families. Beneficiary families living in heavily damaged houses must also live within communities covered by the national Community Mortgage Program (CMP).

An orientation meeting with community leaders was held at the beginning of the assessment in order to share the principles and components of the project, as well as the selection criteria for beneficiaries. Assessment was done through site visits and community mapping, and in close collaboration with the Homeowners’ Associations from the Roxas City.
