Rebuilding Marawi Vol 4: Rebuilding Livelihoods (Islamic Microfinance)

The Rebuilding Livelihoods: An experience-based handbook on Applying Islamic Microfinance Policies and Procedures in Livelihood Projects, recognizes the predominantly Islamic population of Marawi City as it adopted Islamic micro-finance as one of the strategies in implementing livelihood support. The handbook highlights how local project partner, MARADECA, operationalized livelihoods on the ground guided by Islamic principles and teachings.

Rebuilding Livelihoods is the fourth of the six-volume publication developed from UN-Habitat Philippines’ comprehensive knowledge and experience in implementing the Rebuilding Marawi through Community-driven Shelter and Livelihood. Funded by the Government of Japan, the Rebuilding Marawi project provided permanent shelters and livelihood support to families internally displaced by the Marawi Siege.
