Provincial Risk Profile – Southern Leyte

The Provincial Risk Profile of Southern Leyte presents the results of the climate risk analysis for the province, using the Provincial climate Risk Diagnostic or PCRD Tool developed by UN-Habitat in partnership with World Bank and through a participative process with the provincial local government. The PCRD Tool employs a methodology founded on the latest climate risk framework provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Fifth Assessment Report (IPCC AR5). Based on this, the risk profile will hence cover Hazards, Exposure, Vulnerability, and Severity of Consequence of impacts, to deliver risk analytics at the scale of the province. The results of the analysis are intended to inform provincial planning, programming, and investment for climate risk resilience.
