Enhanced climate analytics tool
The Building Climate Resiliency through Urban Plans and Design (BCRUPD), in line with its initiatives to capacitate national agencies in the Philippines, has also set enhancing the Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) tool as one of its key outputs.
CDRA has been used by government units in the Philippines to inform local plans, development programs, and other climate and disaster-related projects. It seeks to establish risk and vulnerable areas by analyzing the hazard, exposure, vulnerability/sensitivity, and adaptive capacities of the various exposed elements. It also aids in the identification of priority decision areas where various interventions can be implemented. With BCRUPD’s support, CDRA was enhanced to be more accessible, aligned with local development plans and national tools, and based on the capacities of LGUs.
